About Cowichan Brain Injury Society
Cowichan Brain Injury Society’s (CBIS) has been providing rehabilitation, education programs, and functional interventions since being registered, as a not-for-profit organization on March 19, 2019. CBIS’ mission is to promote understanding and rehabilitation to “ALL” affected with acquired brain injury (ABI) by providing education, support, and services during their lifespan. CBIS supports and promotes brain injury awareness, injury prevention, education, functional interventions, case management, and employment support while promoting brain health to survivors, their families, and the community. CBIS’s services are available throughout the 11 electoral areas of the Cowichan Valley through information sessions, workshops, group and individual support, as well as community events to include bike rodeos, helmet safety, and fall prevention.
